01Six pillars

The six commitments that hold your album up.

Every line below is visible on this page — product decisions, not marketing copy.

Data centre

AWS Frankfurt (eu-central-1), GDPR aligned

All your photos, videos and metadata live in Amazon Web Services' Frankfurt region. Because it sits within the European Union, processing is governed by GDPR; your data is never copied to US or Asia regions.

Encryption

TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest

Every connection between your browser and our servers uses TLS 1.3. All files stored on AWS S3 are encrypted on disk with AES-256. Nothing — including backups — ever sits unencrypted.

Backups

Three layers: versioning + cross-region + daily snapshot

S3 versioning keeps historical versions of each file (against accidental delete), cross-region replication copies them to a second AWS region (disaster scenario), and daily snapshots archive the database. All three run in parallel.

Access control

Only the owner and the guests they invite

Each album is protected by a unique QR code and link. The owner can revoke access at any time from the dashboard. LiveAlbum staff cannot access your album without a support ticket from you — every access is audit-logged.

Data ownership

Photos belong to you — download or delete anytime

Everything you upload is yours. From your dashboard you can download the entire album in original resolution as a ZIP, or permanently delete it with one click. Deletion propagates to every backup within 30 days.

KVKK compliance

Async Yazılım — VERBİS registration in progress, controller disclosed

The legal data controller is Async Yazılım Ltd. Şti. (Bursa, MERSIS 0091109949300001). Our VERBİS registration is in process; our privacy notice, the categories of personal data and your rights are all written out on our KVKK page.

02Frequently asked

Everything you might be wondering.

The six most common privacy questions — answered plainly.

Where exactly is my data stored?

All your photos, videos and metadata are stored in Amazon Web Services' Frankfurt region (eu-central-1) — inside the European Union. Data is never copied to US or Asia regions; it is encrypted with TLS 1.3 in transit and AES-256 at rest.

Is LiveAlbum GDPR compliant?

Yes. Because data is processed inside the European Union (AWS Frankfurt), LiveAlbum operates as a data processor under GDPR Article 28 and complies with both the EU GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK framework. Since it is owned by the Turkey-based Async Yazılım Ltd. Şti. and the data is not held in the US, your data sits outside the direct reach of US cloud data laws.

Are photos shared with third parties?

No. None of the photos or videos you upload are shared with ad networks, marketing partners or other companies. We only disclose data when legally required (e.g. a court order), and only the data that's been requested.

What happens if I delete my account?

All your album files, user data and metadata are irreversibly removed from every backup within 30 days. The 30-day window exists only to meet our legal obligations; after that, nothing remains.

Will my data be used to train other products?

No. Under no circumstances does LiveAlbum use customer content (photos, videos, wish messages, guest names) for AI model training. Features like AI invitations are personalised and operate purely on your data; the output is never shared with another user.

Will my guests' phone numbers or emails be collected?

No. When a guest scans your QR, the only thing they do is type their name (optional) and pick a photo. No personal contact information is collected, no cookies are placed and no profile matching takes place.

What will you do if there's a breach?

In the event of a security incident, every affected user will be notified by email within 72 hours, as required by KVKK article 12. We also notify the Turkish Data Protection Authority. We have had no incidents to date.

What if LiveAlbum shuts down — what happens to my album?

Should Async Yazılım Ltd. Şti. decide to discontinue LiveAlbum, we will notify all active users at least 90 days in advance and let everyone download their full album as a ZIP. This is part of our legal terms — not a courtesy.

Data residency & compliance

Your wedding photos stay in Europe, held by a Turkish company.

Where your data lives, whose jurisdiction it falls under, and which legal framework protects it — answered plainly.

Hosting region

AWS Frankfurt — eu-central-1

All photos, videos and metadata are stored in Amazon Web Services' Frankfurt region. Your data stays within the European Union and is never copied to US or Asia regions.

GDPR

GDPR Article 28 data processor

LiveAlbum operates as a data processor under GDPR Article 28. Because data is processed inside the EU, it falls under this framework — Europe's highest standard of data protection.

KVKK

KVKK compliant — Turkish data controller

The legal data controller is Async Yazılım Ltd. Şti., based in Bursa, Türkiye. We comply with both Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the EU GDPR framework.

Encryption

TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest

Every connection between your browser and our servers is encrypted with TLS 1.3. All files stored on AWS S3 are encrypted on disk with AES-256 — nothing, backups included, ever sits unencrypted.

Backups

Three-tier backup

Versioning (against accidental deletion), cross-region replication (disaster scenario) and a daily snapshot (database archive) — all three layers run in parallel.

Jurisdiction

Outside US data jurisdiction

LiveAlbum is owned by a Turkey-based company and your data is hosted in the European Union. Because it is not operated by a US company and the data is not held in the US, your photos sit outside the direct reach of US cloud data laws.
